Harrods

I finally finished my to-do list for London.  Now I have something to refer to when I need to get out of the center and experience the city.  I checked off my first place today.  The Harry Potter store in Harrods.  It's not really a store but a little corner really.  We had a little trouble finding the corner too.  I thought it was on the 2nd floor, so we began there.  We navigated our way through the multiple designer brand stores and when we couldn't find it we went to the 4th floor.  After we didn't see it on that floor either we asked an employee who sent us back down to the 2nd floor.  We then asked a 2nd floor employee for further directions but she looked at us like we were idiots and sent us back up to the 4th floor.  She did, however, give us a map to help direct us through the maze.  Even though we got extremely lost it was kinda like a treasure hunt finding the HP corner.  Along the way we found some (not so) hidden treasures like multiple life-sized Harrods bears, Prince William and Princess Catherine dolls (who looked kinda distorted), giant legos, hello kitty central, and little girl jeans that cost $300.

So word to the wise, and parents, if you are trying to leave your posterity some inheritance when you die don't let your children loose in that store.
The only thing I can really afford is a key chain.  And those are $14.

  1. Ewwww...the royal dolls are creepy. Kate's head is twice as big as Williams and too large for her body. His head is too tiny for his body. I like the bear and King Tut much better. Could you bring me one of those home?

  2. Harrods-- where the 1% shops. I bought a pair of tights there. They were on sale. 70% off and I still paid $12.
